Laid rag paper with previous folds. Light water damage at top edge. Strong toning on docketed sixth page where document evidentially was exposed. Very legible. Very Good.

Bond for 150 pounds from Thomas Lukens to the estate of David Parry, deceased. Lukens is indemnified against any loss on account "...of certain negros who were formally the property of Sgtephen Parry, deceased, and since set free...." A scarce mention of slavery in Pennsylvania. Item #315
