Commercially produced 'guided' scrapbook with pages for signatures, photos, classmate remembrances, sororities and fraternities, letters, activities etc. Good condition with binding still holding but partially sprung due to laid or glued in material. Boards rubbed and soiled.
Book owned and created by (Mary) Dorothy Tierney in 1914 as she was attending Mount de Sales Academy of the Visitation in Baltimore County Maryland. Bound at back is a printed 36pp. yearbook for the school which lists Tierney as a resident of nearby Baltimore Maryland. Also tipped in is the 1914 graduation program in which Tierney is listed as the Valedictory student and soloist singing Wiegand's Meadow Song.
Contents include many calling cards and graduation cards, printed theater playbills, various invitations, a Barnum & Bailey ticket for Madison Square Garden, numerous classmate photos, a printed menu for A.Holt Confectioner in Baltimore and correspondences with suppliers of school materials. A better than average high school scrapbook with a variety of printed and manuscript material. Good / None as issued. Item #133
