Includes one trade and two newspaper clippings. Newspaper clippings are from 1973 and 1980; one describes Peck’s accompaniments and the other describes the scene on the back of the trade card. Trade card is made of white card stock with black lettering and illustrations. One of the illustrations is dated to 1903. Trade card has heavy creasing and moderate soiling. Good condition.
George Huntington Peck, Jr. (1856-1940) was a successful realtor, banker and developer. Purchasing almost all of what is now San Pedro and Manhattan Beach, he laid out the town of El Porto, and sold his land to Standard Oil for its refinery and to the U.S. Army for the establishment of Fort MacArthur.
