Set of three real photo postcards. All have divided backs and an AZO stamp box with 4 triangles pointed up. One postcard has a handwritten note dated to August 5th, 1909, although it was never sent to the recipient. All RPPCs have moderate silvering and light soiling on verso. Overall very good condition.

Postcards depict scenes from the flood that occurred from July 6th-12th, 1909 in Livingston County, Missouri. One RPPC titled “Flood - Looking North - Chula, Mo., July 7. 09” depicts a scene with 9 people standing on a raised railroad bed with flood waters to their right. The second RPPC is titled “Flood Chula, Mo. - Looking East - July 7. 09” with men, women, children and horses standing along a raised railroad bed and in the flood water, with a major thoroughfare flooded off to the left of the shot. The third RPPC contains 12 small photographs of the flood and the words “Remember ‘The Flood’ Livingston Co., Missouri, July 6-9 1909.”. Very good condition / None. Item #1966
