Numerous fold marks and wrinkling plus chipping at top left corner. Pinhole perforations through woodcut. Good condition.

Ballot for the 1882 Gubernatorial race with down ballot races and one congressional seat. A good year for New Hampshire Republicans with Samuel Hale (Governor) and Martin Hayes (House of Representatives) both winning their seats. Hale would serve one term as governor while Hayes served two terms in Congress.

Despite condition issues, the Lady Liberty woodcut makes this ephemeral ballot stand out from most. Item #2109
