Archive includes 3 sets of minutes of Death Valley '49ers, Inc. (July, September and October 1949), 4 sets of correspondence between Marcia Wynn Samelson and Ardis Walker and John Henderson of the '49ers, 2 membership cards, colorful Death Valley 49ers Centennial window decal, three newspaper clippings and a December 1940 magazine article (Desert Magazine?) titled "Into Death Valley 50 Years Ago".
Marcia Wynn Samelson would go on to publish "Desert Bonanza--The Story of Early Randsburg, Mojave Desert Mining Camp" in 1963. The 49ers were inviting her to speak at their annual encampment. Samelson declined as she was living first in Philadelphia then Germany for 4 years. Item #2169
