1890's cyanotype photograph measures 7 7/8 x 10 inches. Moderate soiling to photo. See scan. Moderate edge wear, light foxing and one bent corner with a chip to that corner. Chip at top edge in margin. Verso is fairly clean. Good condition.

Classic photograph of Black Eagle Falls and Black Eagle Dam near Great Falls Montana circa mid 1890's. The dam, the first hydroelectric dam built in Montana and even the first dam on the Missouri River was completed in 1890. The powerhouse dominates the lower left corner with the suspension bridge spanning the river in the foreground. The slightly faded background shows buildings for Anaconda Copper Mining Facilities.
