Staple-booklet designed to mimic a leather satchel measures 10 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches plus "handles". Brown embossed 'alligator leather' wrappers with gilt title and advertisement. Light edge wear and soiling. Handles appear to have received some archival repairs. Minor rippling from moisture damage with light ink bleed. Interior is clean. Good condition.

One of the more unique advertising items we've handled. Published by the San Francisco Commercial Travelers Association in 1902, this advertising booklet is chock-full of wonderful period ads and graphics. Published just several years shy of the 1906 earthquake which would change the city forever.

The San Francisco Commercial Travelers Association was founded in 1897 to "foster and promote commercially the interests of the San Francisco Business Houses". OCLC notes just one undated copy of a piece with this same title; a rare item from the city by the bay. Item #2518
