Large format stereoview cards measuring 4 1/2 x 7 inches. No content on verso. Several small chips to albumen photos along edges. Decent exposure and clarity. Both mounts with printed name and location on ends plus a lightly stamped title under right hand photo. One card missing lower right-hand corner. Good condition.
Photographer Andrew Price moved to the United States by 1870 working first in Ohio before coming west. Classic itinerant photographer working in many northern California locales from the 1870's through 1890's.
Geyser Springs hosted a resort hotel beginning in the mid 1850's remaining popular through the 1880's. These images likely date to the 1880's but on a circa 1890's mount. Research indicates that Andrew Price shot Geyser Springs photos while Price had a studio in Healdsburg, which according to Mautz was from 1880-1886. Earlier Price mounts used a gothic font.
