Map on a shiny linen type of paper. Scale 1 inch = 60 feet. Recto only. Mild discoloration on one section of verso which lightly bleeds through. Otherwise, clean, sharp map. Very good condition.

Map for the Rocky Bar Placer Mine located just north of the Yuba River in Nevada County, California. Drawn by who we believe to be "W.M, Maggnun" as signed in lower right-hand quarter. Difficult to decipher name. Nor did we find much information on the Rocky Bar Placer Mine. There is a claim of the same name which was worked as recently as 1996. Still a striking 19th century gold map from Nevada County, California. Item #2588
