Fun examples of a student produced newspaper from an elementary school at Fairchild Air Force Base in Fairchild, Washington. Two covers feature fighter jets but most the content is as one would imagine for any elementary school--classroom notes, jokes and puns, cafeteria news and listings of new book arrivals at the library.

The November-December 1957 issue is eerily prescient of Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove (1964) riding the bomb to immortality, except in this case Santa Claus rides a jet fighter. Item #2648
