Soiled green wrapper with block print to front and full-page ad at back for Dr. Flagg Surgeon Dentist with three printed blocks. String-tied binding. Much chipping to wrapper and fore edge of leaves. Back wrapper missing fore edge strip. Foxing throughout. Mercantile Library Philadelphia stamp on title page. Plate has one inch tear to fore edge. Fair condition.

As noted in the title, this periodical is a "museum of knowledge and entertainment" with items on history, current events, literature, music, and business. This issue includes the "Handsome Engraving" of Matilda, tied to the first article in the magazine and includes short essays, fictional pieces, poetry plus foreign and domestic reports.

Edited by Thaddeus M. Harris and printed at the Magazine and Orrery Office by Alexander Martin; sold at John West's Bookstore. Rare, especially in wrappers. Item #675
